The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Oluyemi Oluyede, has reaffirmed his commitment to lead the Nigerian Army with empathy and promised to ensure every officer and soldier gets their entitlements.

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, in a statement, said Lt Gen Oluyede stated this during his maiden operations visit to Headquarters, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, in Kaduna, as part of his tour of formations and units across the Nigerian Army on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Addressing officers and soldiers during the visit, Oluyede reaffirmed his commitment to leading the army efficiently while prioritising the welfare and professional development of personnel.

He assured troops of his resolve to address accommodation challenges, ensuring that no soldier is left without proper housing.
