Former France international, William Gallas has urged Chelsea not to sign Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as a free agent.
Salah’s current contract with Liverpool will expire at the end of the season.
The Egyptian international is yet to sign a new contract extension with the Reds.
As a result, the 32-year-old winger has been linked with a move away from Liverpool at the end of the season.
Speaking about the development, Gallas advised Chelsea not to sign Salah as a free agent. According to him, Salah would disrupt the current squad under manager Enzo.
“I think Chelsea should reject the chance to sign Mohamed Salah as a free agent this summer, I think he would be a disruption on the squad,” Gallas told Prime Casino.
“The current Chelsea team are all learning and growing together and it’s working for Enzo Maresca. They are all part of a generation with no big egos, despite Cole Palmer being the focal point.
“I think bringing in a player like Salah wouldn’t be good for the balance of the squad, despite his form in the Premier League.”
Salah spent two years at Chelsea earlier in his career.
