Lobi Stars head coach, Mika Lönnström, has praised his players for their impressive performance in the derby win over Plateau United.
The Makurdi club defeated Mbwas Mangut’s side 1-0 at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday.
Waheed Adebayo scored the winning goal in the first half.
“The team played good football with good defending, the first half was fantastic, and the three points secured are important for us,” he told the club’s media.
Lobi Stars moved from bottom spot to 15th position on the table following the win.
The Pride of Benue will travel to Bendel Insurance in their next game.
