EPL: Arsenal close in on Chelsea, Liverpool with 5-1 win over Crystal Palace

Arsenal have kept themselves within touching distance of their Premier League title rivals with a commanding 5-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Jesus, who scored a hat-trick against the Eagles in a 3-2 Carabao Cup win earlier in the week, was on fire again at Selhurst Park, netting a quick-fire brace on either side of an Ismaila Sarr goal.

Kai Havertz reacted quickest to tap in Arsenal’s third goal before the break.

Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice added to the tally in the second half, ensuring Mikel Arteta’s side secured all three points.

The Gunners are now on 33 points, one behind Chelsea and three adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
