Belgium: Arokodare proud to make history with Genk

Nigeria forward, Tolu Arokodare has expressed his excitement after Genk’s impressive 2-0 home win against Anderlecht.

It was Genk’s ninth consecutive home victory in the Belgian Pro League this season, the first time they will be achieving the feat.

Arokodare contributed a goal an assist in the keenly contested encounter.

The 24-year-old also thanked the home fans for their massive support.

“Today, we made history, and I’m incredibly proud of the team and the unwavering support of our fans,” he told the club’s official website.

“Their energy fueled our performance. These moments are crucial for our club’s growth.

“By remaining patient and controlling the game, we asserted our dominance from the outset, which is reflected in the result.”

Arokodare has racked up 12 goals and six assists in 21 outings across all competitions for the Smurfs this season.
