Super Eagles caretaker coach, Eguavoen undergoes surgery

Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen has undergone a successful surgery.

Eguavoen, according to SCORENigeria, underwent the surgery in Belgium.

The surgery was postponed several times due to the Super Eagles 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

The former defender guided the Super Eagles to qualification for Morocco 2025 in November.

Assistant coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has taken charge of the home-based Super Eagles for the 2024 African Nations Championship qualifier against Back Galaxies of Ghana.

The Eagles held the Black Galaxies to a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Accra on Sunday.
