A close friend of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Buchi Laba, has rubbished the rumours linking the Super Eagles striker with a January transfer to Manchester United.

The Nigeria international is spending the current season with Galatasaray and has been in red-hot for the Turkish giants.

Osimhen has scored 12 goals and assisted five times in just 15 appearances across all competitions.

The 25-year-old has cemented his status as one of Europe’s standout performers this season.

Recent rumours suggest that the former Lille frontman could be heading to Manchester United.

Laba wrote on X, “This Report is 100% false. Victor Osimhen has no agent or representative. He has officially parted ways with him.”

Media Talk Africa reports that after his failure to secure a transfer out of Napoli last summer, Osimhen severed ties with his agent, Roberto Calenda.

“He works directly with his lawyer now. There was no contact made with Victor, Napoli or Galatasaray. No discussion whatsoever,” Laba emphasized.
