CHAN 2024 qualifier: Home Eagles captain Nduka declares war on Ghana

Home Eagles captain, Junior Nduka, has expressed the team’s determination to secure victory in the second leg of their 2024 African Nations Championship qualifier against Ghana.

Nduka stated that the players are motivated to avenge Nigeria’s loss to Ghana in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria will face the Black Galaxies at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday.

“The last time I watched Ghana play against Nigeria was in Abuja, and our stadium was vandalised,” Nduka told Pan-Africa Football.

“We know how they [Ghana] gave us a bitter pill, and this time, we need to give them the same pill because we understand what is at stake. It is a must-win for us; no compromise.

“The future lies in our hands right now. We need to qualify by all means, and at the same time, we know we have to defend well because the best way to defend is to attack.”
