EPL: Haaland misses penalty as Man City fail to beat Everton

Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, missed a penalty as they played out a 1-1 draw with Everton on Boxing Day.

The Premier League champions came into the fixture with only one win in 13 across all competitions.

But it was City who took the lead through Bernardo Silva’s deflected shot.

However, Illiman Ndiaye struck a sublime equalizer in the 36th minute of the match.

In the second half, Haaland’s spot-kick was palmed away by Jordan Pickford and saw the follow-up ruled out for offside.

All in all, it was another frustrating afternoon for Man City, but Everton will be pleased to come away with another point from another team in the top half of the table.’
