Real Madrid set to give stadium, Santiago Bernabeu new name, Marca reports

The Spanish and European giants are planning to change from ‘Santiago Bernabeu’ to ‘The Bernabeu.

The change is a result of commercial and marketing reasons as the rebranding is likely aimed at increasing the stadium’s appeal and commercial value.

Real Madrid, who are currently holding the La Liga and Champions League titles, plans to make their Stadium more attractive for sponsorships, events, and other non-football-related activities.

This is coming just after one year they finished the multi-billion upgrade of the Stadium.

Madrid Xtra took to their official X account to write,

“NEW: Real Madrid will change the name of the stadium to ‘The Bernabéu’ for marketing reasons and to have a bigger impact in the market.”
