EPL: Amorim brings Rashford back into Man Utd squad for Newcastle clash

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has recalled Marcus Rashford into the squad for the visit of Newcastle United on Monday.

This is the first time Rashford will be in the matchday squad in four fixtures.

However, Amorim has named the forward on the bench for United’s final game of 2024.

Rashford has not played since being taken off in the 56th minute of United’s 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on December 12.

Since then, he has missed four games over the festive period, including the victory at Manchester City as well as losses to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup and against Bournemouth and Wolves in the Premier League.

During his absence, Amorim insisted that he would only consider Rashford for selection if he improved his off-field behaviour.
