Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has suspended the chairman and other senior officials of the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, following allegations of illegal recruitment of over 1,000 teachers.

The suspension was announced by the governor’s personal assistant on social media, Godwin Rimi, in a statement released on Monday evening.

In the statement, Governor Sule directed the immediate formation of a committee to thoroughly investigate the alleged recruitment irregularities. The committee is expected to submit a comprehensive report to guide further actions.

“The Governor has zero tolerance for any form of misconduct or abuse of office, and this move shows his commitment to accountability and transparency in public service,” the statement read.
