NPFL: Ologunloluwa craves Sunshine Stars return to Akure

Sunshine Stars Chairman, Bamidele Ologunloluwa, has acknowledged the challenges faced by the team in playing away from their traditional home ground in Akure.

The Owena Waves played their home matches at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode and the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne in the first half of the season.

Sunshine Stars original home ground, the Akure Township Stadium is currently undergoing renovation.

Ologunloluwa believed that the stadium renovation is crucial to restoring their home support.

“The renovation of our stadium is crucial to restoring our home support, just as every other team,” Ologunloluwa told Sunshine Stars media.

“Nevertheless, I advise you all to celebrate in moderation because of the tasks ahead.

“We are not where we ought to be on the NPFL table, but with all hands on deck, our season’s target is still achievable.”

Sunshine Stars finished in 15th position in the first stanza of the season with 21 points.
