EPL: Referee for Liverpool vs Man Utd on Sunday confirmed

The Premier League has confirmed that Michael Oliver will be the centre referee when leaders Liverpool host Manchester United this Sunday.

Oliver has officiated 15 league matches this season and five in the Champions League. So far this season, he has issued 76 yellow cards and 113 across all competitions.

Oliver has shown three red cards, all coming from second yellows and no penalties in the league, but five across all competitions.

Chris Kavanagh has been appointed as the Video Assistant Referee, VAR. Dan Robathan will act as assistant VAR.

The Reds will go into the game looking to extend their lead at the top.

But for United, it will be a tough game to begin 2024, given their current run of form.

Ruben Amorim’s men are in 14th place, just seven points above the relegation zone.
