Transfer: Watford offer Iheanacho short-term deal

Sky Bet Championship club, Watford have made a short-term proposal to Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Hornets want to take Iheanacho on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

The Nigeria international only linked up with Sevilla last summer but has failed to hit the ground running at the club.

The 28-year-old has failed to register a goal in nine league appearances for the Rojiblancos.

There are also concerns about Iheanacho’s fitness.

Sevilla are reportedly willing to allow him leave this month.

The forward scored 61 goals and laid on 34 assists in 232 games during his time with Leicester City.

Watford will hope he can replicate same form if they eventually sign him.
