EPL: Maresca names three teams to challenge for title

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has named Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Manchester City as the teams to challenge Premier League leaders Liverpool for the title this season.
Maresca spoke following Chelsea’s Premier League 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Goals from Cole Palmer and Jean-Philippe Mateta ensured both teams earned a point each at Selhurst Park.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Maresca said: “Two weeks ago, three weeks ago, we were talking about the title race. We knew that Newcastle and Villa would be there, City too.

“For me, it’s not about the table but how we can improve things.”

The result against Crystal Palace leaves Chelsea in fourth position behind Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
