Sokoto United head coach, Peter Ajeni has praised his players’ resilience and determination in the win over Zamfara United.
The Caliphate Boys defeated Zamfara United 3-1 at the Gingiya Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Ajeni emphasized the need for an improvement from his attackers despite the victory.
“I’m extremely proud of the team’s performance. We showed great character and determination to come back and win the match,” Ajeni stated in a post-match interview.
“We missed a lot of chances in both halves, and that’s not good for our attacking line.
“We need to work on goal scoring and develop more effective techniques for converting chances.”
