Kano: Gov Yusuf’s commissioner resigns

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has accepted the resignation of Engr. Muhammad Diggol, the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation. The resignation is effective immediately.

The announcement was made in a statement released by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.

Engr. Diggol was initially appointed as the Commissioner for Transportation at the beginning of Governor Yusuf’s tenure in 2023. He was later reassigned to head the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, a position he held until his resignation.

Governor Yusuf thanked Engr. Diggol for his dedication, hard work, and exemplary service during his time in the state’s executive council. He also wished him well in his future endeavors.

The Governor’s office expressed appreciation for Engr. Diggol’s unwavering commitment to the state and its development goals.

The resignation marks a shift in the leadership of the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, though no immediate successor has been announced yet.
