Kano State verifies over 5,797 households for BHCPF enrollees

The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has verified over 5,797 households in the ongoing house-to-house Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) enrollee verification exercise across 84 wards in seven targeted Local Government Areas of the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by Aminu Ahmad Turaki, Public Relations Officer, of KSCHMA on Monday.

According to the statement, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar, the Executive Secretary of KSCHMA, disclosed this during the agency’s weekly morning briefing on Monday.

The Executive Secretary stated that as of January 5, a total of 7,129 beneficiaries had been sighted and verified under the initiative, which aims to expand access to quality healthcare services in Kano State.

“This significant milestone reflects the commitment of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to improving access to quality healthcare for all residents in the state,” Dr. Rahila said.

She commended the efforts of the enumerators and supervisors and urged them to intensify their activities to achieve the desired goals.

“We must continue to work diligently to ensure that all enrollees are properly verified in line with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) objectives,” she added.
