Nigeria police promotes 104 Plateau officer

The Plateau State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has elevated 104 officers to various ranks.

State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, who presided over the decoration ceremony at the Police Officers’ Mess in Jos, disclosed that the promotions were based on the officers’ exemplary service and track records.

According to him, the exercise aligns with the vision of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, to reposition the force for enhanced service delivery.

Adesina also urged the newly promoted officers to see the development as a renewed call to serve with integrity and dedication, highlighting that “the reward for hard work is more work.”
Among those promoted was the former Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Mathias Tyopev, now Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Unit in Plateau State.

Others include 17 Superintendents of Police (SP) elevated to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), 10 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) promoted to Superintendents of Police (SP), and 77 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) advanced to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
