Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, presented cheques of various amounts to representatives of 40 selected communities for the implementation of community micro‑projects. At the event, Adeleke assured residents that an enabling environment would be provided for development efforts to thrive, noting that the initiative forms part of his administration’s plan to revamp public utilities and infrastructure within the first 100 days.

Adeleke expressed satisfaction with the progress of the micro‑projects, stating, “This development cannot come as a surprise to anybody because, since the inception of our administration, I have left no one in doubt as to my commitment towards the giant strive of communities.”

Earlier, Mrs. Aderonke Abokede, General Manager of the Osun State Community and Social Development Agency, explained that the projects would bring succour to the people and address fundamental social and community problems. She added, “Over 40 communities benefited from these projects and N518 million was shared in varied sums to the communities to implement the projects.”

Speaking on behalf of the benefiting communities, Mr. Samson Adelomo praised Governor Adeleke, the World Bank, and the Osun CSDA for making the projects achievable.
