Transfer: West Ham line up bid for Super Eagles striker

West Ham United are plotting a move for Nottingham Forest forward, Taiwo Awoniyi.

According to The Sun, the Hammers want to sign the Nigeria international on loan for the remainder of the season.

A permanent transfer has also been discussed but Nottingham Forest’s £20m valuation could be a stumbling block.

West Ham are desperate for attacking reinforcements following injuries to forwards, Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and Niclas Fullkrug.

Awoniyi could be interested in a move to West Ham after playing second fiddle to Chris Wood this season.

The 27-year-old has scored once for Forest in the Premier League this term.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the striker was linked with a move to West Ham last summer.
