Sevilla’s sporting director, Victor Orta, has announced that the club is open to selling Kelechi Iheanacho this month. This comes as Iheanacho is reportedly eager to leave the Rojiblancos, just six months after joining the team.
Interest in the Nigerian international has been expressed by Premier League clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town, both of which are actively pursuing his signature. Orta emphasized that the La Liga club will not prevent Iheanacho or other top players from seeking opportunities elsewhere.
“The market is open, and we are obliged to study all offers. Players have their feelings; anything can happen with any name,” Orta stated, as reported by eldesmarque.
Media Talk Africa notes that the 28-year-old joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after parting ways with Leicester City. Since his arrival, he has made nine appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals for Garcia Pimienta’s side.
