NYSC debunks reports on Prospective Corps Members yet to be issued Call-Up-Numbers

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has described as misleading, the information being circulated in some sections of the media that Prospective Corps Members yet to be issued Call-Up-Numbers should proceed to the State Secretariats of the Scheme for that purpose.

The NYSC said the general public should ignore such messages, adding that they did not emanate from the Scheme.

The organization said all communication between the Prospective Corps Members and the Scheme are done through their individual dashboards and via its officially approved social media platforms.

“For the avoidance of doubt, all Prospective Corps Members that are yet to receive their Call-Up-Numbers are enjoined to exercise patience, keep checking their dashboards and also visit the NYSC Social Media Platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Thread), for update,” a statement signed by Caroline Embu, Acting Director
Information & Public Relations, said.

Media Talk Africa reported that the NYSC had recently debunked what it described as a misleading publication regarding the query issued to about 200 corps members.

The Scheme debunked the story making the rounds that the corps members were queried for not participating in a Christmas Carol.
