Abia Comets head coach Okechukwu Ejeh has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the upcoming matchday six fixture against Inter Lagos FC. The match is scheduled to take place at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Saturday, January 18.
Ejeh emphasized that his players are determined to achieve a positive result in the game, although he acknowledges that it will be a challenging encounter. “Yes, we’ll be ready and prepared for the clash against Inter Lagos this weekend,” Ejeh stated in an interview with Sportsregister. He noted that Inter Lagos is a formidable opponent, making the match particularly tough.
Despite the anticipated difficulties, Ejeh remains optimistic about his team’s performance. “The boys know what is at stake, so I have the confidence that we are going to put up a good performance, which will give us a good chance of securing the maximum points,” he added.
Currently, Abia Comets hold the top position in the Southern Conference Group A standings, having accumulated 11 points from five games.
