EPL: You need to play better – Amorim warns Man Utd forward

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has warned Alejandro Garnacho that he needs to improve his performances.

Amorim provided an update on the Argentine’s future, as he continues to be linked with a move to Napoli.

Garnacho’s future with the Red Devils has been uncertain since he was dropped from their Premier League trip to Manchester City alongside Marcus Rashford.

While the 20-year-old has returned to Amorim’s squad, unlike Rashford, his future at the club remains unclear.

“That is clear. He has talent. He needs to learn to play in a different position. He needs to play better inside,” Amorim told reporters about Garnacho.

“He improves a lot in the recovering position when he doesn’t have the ball. But by doing that, sometimes he’s not in the right place to make transitions like he was in the past.

“I prefer to defend and then build up with the whole team to reach the final third.

“He’s finding the best way to play in this system. He’s improving during training. He started the last game. Let’s see tomorrow. I think he has changed the way he sees himself.”
