APC fires back at Kofa, rejects reconciliation between Kwankwaso, Ganduje

The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that the efforts made by Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa to facilitate reconciliation between Kwankwaso and Ganduje were driven by Kwankwaso’s desire to return to the APC. They argue that the notion of reconciliation between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, as introduced by Kofa, is a political deception, as they believe there is no need to align politically with Kwankwaso.

This statement was made by Ahmad S. Aruwa, the APC spokesperson for Kano State, during an interview with Hikima Radio in Kano.

According to the APC spokesperson, the intention behind Kwankwaso’s efforts to rejoin the APC is to regain control of the party from its current members.

He highlighted that Kwankwaso had previously undermined Malam Ibrahim Shekarau by forcing a shift from APC to PDP, and had similarly betrayed their trust when they were in the PDP.

“Looking at how Kofa outlined the achievements and positions held by Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it becomes clear that he is too insignificant to mediate peace between the two.”

Aruwa further emphasized that if anyone was to mediate between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it should be Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, not Kofa.
