Championship: West Brom boss laments Maja’s injury

West Bromwich Albion caretaker manager, Chris Brunt has lamented Josh Maja’s injury.

The Baggies confirmed this week Maja will be sidelined for several weeks after sustaining a lower leg injury.

Brunt claimed the forward will be missed by the club.

“It’s not just his goals, it’s his overall play too,” he told BBC Radio WIM.

“After missing last year with two bad ankle injuries, he’s been in great form for us this season.

“It’s been well documented that we haven’t scored enough goals this season anyway, and to be without him now is a massive blow.”

The 26-year-old has scored 12 league goals for Albion this season.
