NPFL: Sporting Lagos captain Egeonu attracting interest from Rangers

Sporting Lagos captain Patrick Egeonu is attracting interest from Rangers, the reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Media Talk Africa reports.

Rangers are desperate to bolster their defence ahead of the second half of the season.

According to reports, the Sporting Lagos defender has been identified as a player to help improve the Flying Antelopes’ backline.

Egeonu was one of the standout performers for Sporting Lagos in the NPFL last season.

The 22-year-old made 32 appearances and registered one goal for the modest club.

The second half of the 2024/25 season will kick off next Saturday.
