Serie A: Sacchi names two teams that won’t win title this season

Former Italy coach, Arrigo Sacchi, has said Juventus and AC Milan are out of the Serie A title race.

Sacchi was speaking with Gazzetta dello Sport after Juve beat Milan on Sunday.

According to him, it will be difficult for both teams to catch up with Napoli and Inter Milan.

“Given that Juve has managed to win against Milan and that the Bianconeri seem to me to be growing, it should also be stressed that for these two teams the Scudetto race is compromised.

“Anything can happen, for heaven’s sake, but it seems to me that Napoli and Inter are traveling at a much higher speed.

“At this point, therefore, both Milan and Juve have an obligation to continue their journey in the Champions League: it will not be easy, but they have the possibilities.

“And then at all costs you have to hit the qualification for the next edition of the Cup, because this means bringing money into the club safe. I think the two situations are quite different and I explain myself,” Sacchi said.

Napoli are top ot the Serie A table with 50 points after 21 fixtures.

Antonio Conte’s men are three points ahead of Inter Milan, who have a game in hand.

Atalanta currently occupy third spot with 43 points after 21 games.
