NPFL: Fatokun leaves Remo Stars for Sudanese club, Al Merrikh

Home-based Super Eagles midfielder Jide Fatokun has linked up with Sudanese club, Al Merrikh SC on a two-year contract.

Fatokun joined Al Merrikh from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, outfit, Remo Stars.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave the country this week to finalise his move.

The talented midfielder was part of the Home Eagles side that secured qualification for the 2024 African Nations Championship.

Fatokun started both legs of the qualifiers against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.

His arrival will increase the number of Nigerians at Al Merrikh to two with goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke already a regular member of the squad.
