The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, National Assembly, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman has advocated for Gender Inclusivity Policy and its implementation by leaders at all levels to achieve its goals.
Sulaiman stated this on Wednesday during the working visit to his office in Abuja by the Deputy Director of MacArthur Africa Office, Dr Amina Salihu.
He said NILDS as the academic component of the National Assembly has done a lot in supporting the advocacy for gender inclusion policy and its implementation.
The Director General who is a “He for She Champion” added that NILD’s passion for gender balance led to the establishment of the Gender Inclusivity Unit that has been working closely with the MacArthur Foundation.
While commending the vibrancy and the energy of the Deputy Director MacArthur Africa Office, Dr Amina Salihu, Professor Sulaiman assured her of the collaborative support of NILDS towards achieving better awareness for the implementation of gender inclusive strategy.
