Southampton manager Ivan Juric has hailed Paul Onuachu ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
Onuachu has impressed since Juric took charge of the Saints after Russell Martin was sacked last November.
The Nigerian opened his Premier League goal account in Southampton’s 3-2 defeat at Nottingham Forest last weekend.
Juric said the tall striker is in buoyant mood after ending his barren run.
“He has had a good week with confidence (after scoring) but I like him because he’s tough and training at the maximum,” the gaffer told a press conference.
Southampton currently occupy bottom spot in the Premier League table.
