NWFL: Nwaneri hails Abia Angels’ win over Nasarawa Amazons

Abia Angels head coach Adanna Nwaneri has commended her team following their impressive home win against Nasarawa Amazons.

The Umuahia-based club defeated Nasarawa Amazons 3-0 in a matchday two fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday.

Merit Offor, Dorothy Eshiet and Chiamaka Ojilafor were on target for Abia Angels in the encounter.

Nwaneri stated that the players played according to instruction.

“I’m so happy that we were able to secure the maximum points, with a brilliant team performance, because the girls played according to my tactics and formations,” Adanna stated in a post-match interview.

” The team played better, than the first game against Edo Queens a week ago in Benin, which I felt was the worst game for us because of the way we conceded the goals.”

“But I’m glad that the team were able to bounce back to winning ways, and we will be ready and prepared to keep the performances going into the next games.”
