Transfer: Chelsea confirm deal for Morgan

Chelsea on Friday confirmed that forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan has left the club to join Gillingham on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Blues disclosed this in a statement ahead of their Premier League tie with Manchester City this weekend.

Morgan joined the Premier League west London club in February 2023 from Southampton.

The 19-year-old has predominantly played for Chelsea’s Under-21 side.

The England youth international has featured ten times in Premier League 2 this season.

Morgan, who has netted six goals, will now continue his development with the Gills.

“Chelsea forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Gillingham

“Good luck, Jimmy-Jay,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
