EPL: Chelsea to sign Belahyane before end of transfer window

Chelsea are ‘pushing hard’ to sign Hellas Verona midfielder Reda Belahyane, according to The Sun on Sunday.

The 20-year-old is said to be a replacement for Cesare Casadei, who is set to leave Chelsea before the January transfer window closes in the coming days.

Casadei is said to be attracting strong interest from Serie A clubs Lazio and Torino.

Chelsea are said to want £12.6 million for the Italian, who has made just six appearances this season.

Casadei is down the pecking order of midfielders in manager Enzo Maresca’s squad.

However, Chelsea could reinvest a similar sum in signing Belahyane.

The Moroccan international joined Verona from Nice in a £420,000 deal in January 2024.

Belahyane has since established himself in Italy and has played 20 times in the Serie A this season.
