Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has insisted that Liverpool will win the Premier League title this season if they get seven points from their away matches against Bournemouth, Everton and Manchester City, respectively.
Liverpool currently sits at the top of the Premier League table with 53 points from 22 games.
The Reds, who have a game in hand, are ahead of Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Man City on the log.
Speaking to Sportskeeda ahead of Liverpool’s away Premier League tie with Bournemouth on Saturday, Merson said:
“February will be a defining month in the Premier League for Liverpool.
“In addition to their upcoming trip to Bournemouth, they face both Everton and Manchester City away from home this month.
“If Liverpool get seven points from these three fixtures, they will win the Premier League.
“But then again, you look at these fixtures and think, ‘Bournemouth are bang in form, Everton are a different beast under Moyes and well, Manchester City can beat anyone on their day’.”
Meanwhile, Man City won the Premier League title last season ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool.
