Transfer: Sergio Ramos’ next club confirmed

Sergio Ramos is set to continue his playing career at Rayados.

The 38-year-old will join the Mexican side as a free agent.

Ramos has reached agreement on personal terms with the club and is set to undergo medical and physical tests to assess his condition.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Sergio Ramos to Rayados, here we go! Pre-contract signed today, he’s set to travel to Mexico for formal steps.

“After Sevilla chapter, Ramos will play in Mexican league as he joins on free transfer.”

Ramos began his career at Sevilla’s youth academy, befor making a high-profile switch to Real Madrid in 2005.

In 16 seasons, he captained Los Blancos to four Champions League triumphs and five LaLiga titles, among numerous other honours.

After leaving Madrid in 2021, Ramos spent two years with Paris Saint-Germain, winning two Ligue 1 championships before briefly returning to Sevilla.
