Transfer: Trabzonspor set to renew efforts to sign Onuachu

Trabzonspor are set to renew their efforts to sign Southampton striker, Paul Onuachu, Media Talk Africa reports.

Onuachu enjoyed a successful loan spell with Trabzonspor last season.

The 30-year-old scored 17 goals in 25 appearances for the Black Sea Storm.

Negotiations for a permanent however transfer stalled during the previous window due to disagreements over the transfer fee.

Southampton demanded €15m to sell the Nigeria international.

The Saints may not be willing to sell Onuachu this time around with the lanky hitman enjoying a new lease of life under new manager, Ivan Juric.

The Nigerian scored the winning goal in Southampton’s 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The Turkish transfer window closes on February 11.
