Joao Felix explains decision to join AC Milan from Chelsea

AC Milan loanee, Joao Felix has explained his decision to join the Serie A club from Chelsea.

Felix left the Blues to join Milan during the January transfer window on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

The Portugal international had failed to get regular playing time at Chelsea under manager Enzo Maresca.

Speaking on why he picked AC Milan ahead of other clubs interested in signing him, Felix said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano:

“I didn’t ask AC Milan to play every game, just to play in my position… and Sérgio Conceição wanted exactly to put me in my best position”.

“That was crucial for me to pick AC Milan”.

Meanwhile, AC Milan Senior Advisor, Zlatan Ibrahimovic had claimed that it took just five minutes to get Felix’s transfer deal done.

On his part, Chelsea manager Maresca claimed that his team is not missing Felix.

According to Maresca, the attacking midfielder is happy at Milan.
