NWFL: Heartland ready to end winless streak – Midfielder Okwara

Heartland Queens midfielder Oluchi Okwara has assured fans that the team will bounce back from their poor start to the season.

Media Talk Africa reports that Heartland Queens are yet to record a win in the league this season.

The Owerri-based side will lock horns with Dannaz Ladies in their next league game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, on Wednesday.

Okwara expressed the team’s readiness for the encounter.
“In this next home match against Dannaz Ladies, we are going for an outright victory and nothing else. I have no doubt in my mind that I will give my very best to ensure we get a good result,” Okwara told Heartland Queens media.

“The expected win will be the necessary catalyst to turn our fortunes around for the better in the remaining matches of the season.

“We want to appeal to our teeming fans and supporters not to give up on us. They should keep encouraging us, as we are more determined than ever to make them proud, starting with Wednesday’s match against Dannaz Ladies.

“We sincerely apologise for the poor results so far this season, and we have come together as a unit to make amends and put smiles on their faces once again.”
