NPFL: Finidi upbeat Rivers United will beat Akwa United away

Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, is optimistic his team will get a positive result in their matchday 25 encounter against Akwa United.

The Port Harcourt club will be up against Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday.

The former champions fell 1-0 against Enyimba in Aba last weekend.

Rivers United put up an impressive display in the encounter, and Finidi believed a repeat performance should see them get a better result this time around.

“I think that if we play this way, we are going to win. So, I am quite optimistic,” Enyimba told the club’s media.

“If we can replicate this same performance in Uyo, I think we will win or at least come back with something. I’m quite positive.”
