NPFL: Daniel Amokachi quits Lobi Stars after poor run

Daniel Amokachi has resigned from his position as head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL club, Lobi Stars.

The former Super Eagles forward stepped down following Lobi Stars’ 1-1 home draw against Katsina United last weekend.

Amokachi leaves the Makurdi-based club at the bottom of the table.

He took charge of the team in the first half of the season after the sacking of Eugene Agagbe.

Assistant coach Tar Akombo will oversee the team in Wednesday’s matchday 25 clash against Shooting Stars.

The club’s management is expected to appoint a new head coach next week.
