Kano Governor, Yusuf signs three bills into law

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has signed three new bills into law after their approval by the Kano State House of Assembly.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

According to the statement, the newly enacted laws include the Kano State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Amendment) Law, 2025, the Kano State Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Law, 2025, and the Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Law, 2025.

Governor Yusuf assented to the bills at the commencement of the 25th Kano State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House.

Speaking at the event, the Governor emphasized his administration’s dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy and fostering rapid development in the state.

“Our government remains steadfast in its efforts to initiate and implement policies that will improve the lives of Kano citizens. These new laws will strengthen key sectors, ensuring better security, transportation, and disease control in our state,” Governor Yusuf stated.

He further appreciated the support of the people, urging them to remain committed to the administration’s vision
