Madueke to miss Chelsea’s next six games

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is set to miss the club’s next six games due to a hamstring injury.

Madueke was forced off with a hamstring problem in the first half of Chelsea’s 3-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton last Friday.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues are hopeful that the 22-year-old will not be sidelined for too long but expect him to be out until after the international break at the end of March.

As a result, Madueke will miss Chelsea’s Premier League match against Aston Villa this Saturday, as well as their games against Southampton, Leicester City, and Arsenal.

He will also be absent for both legs of Chelsea’s Conference League last-16 fixtures, scheduled for 6 and 13 March.

Chelsea will face one of Gent, FC Copenhagen, Real Betis, or FC Heidenheim in the Conference League Round of 16.

Madueke’s injury adds to Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s selection headache in attack, as the Italian is already without both Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu.
