Legendary Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has given the team a 20 per cent chance of winning the Premier League title.
Wenger made this remark after Liverpool defeated Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad on Sunday.
A day earlier, the Gunners suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home to West Ham.
The result left Arsenal eight points behind Liverpool.
That gap has now widened to 11 points after Arne Slot’s side secured victory against City.
Wenger told beIN SPORTS: “Maybe I’m being generous. But with 11 games to go, 11 points ahead and one more game played, of course, you would be surprised.
“If Liverpool win today, they’ve lost only one game since the start of the season, and you wouldn’t think they would lose four in the last 11.”
Liverpool host Newcastle United next, while Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest.
