NPFL: Akwa United’s Alakwe ruled out for one month with injury

Akwa United forward, Chijioke Alakwe is expected to be sidelined for around four weeks with a shoulder injury.

Alakwe copped the injury during Akwa United’s State FA Cup semi-final tie against Godswill Akpabio United.

The former Sheikh Jamal of Bangladesh hitman is expected to return to action for the Uyo club early next month.

The striker has scored five goals for Kennedy Boboye’s side this season.

The Promise Keepers will be away to Kano Pillars in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 26 encounter on Wednesday.

Akwa United currently occupy 19th position in the table with 24 points from 25 matches.
