Nigeria’s Flying Eagles arrived Abidjan on Tuesday ahead of their two friendlies against the Young Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.

The seven-time African champions will take on their Ivorian counterparts in the first friendly at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny, Abidjan on Wednesday.

Both teams will clash again at the same venue on Friday.

The friendlies will serve as part of the Flying Eagles’ preparation for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Head coach Aliyu Zubairu named 21 players for the trip.

Team captain Daniel Bameyi, first-choice goalkeeper Ifeanyi Harcourt, defender Haruna Aliyu, midfielder Cletus Simon and forwards Clinton Japhet and Olalekan Sulaiman Alabi are among the players included in the squad.
