Enugu: APC expels Chairman, 8 others for misconduct

The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expelled its chairman, Ugochukwu Agballah.

The state chapter of the party said Agballah and those it termed as self-acclaimed executive members were expelled for gross misconduct.

Their expulsion was contained in a statement signed by Alphonsus Onyeachonam Nwafor, the acting state chairman, and High Chief Charles-Solo Akor, the state publicity secretary.

The party said Agballa and other expelled members have consistently disobeyed court orders that prevented them from parading themselves as executive members of the party.

According to the statement: “The leadership of APC Enugu State Chapter do hereby officially expel Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Augustine Alumona, Jude Chinedu Aniogbo, Moses Emeka Eze, Sunday Ugwoke, Ugwu Christian Kanayo, Eze Chidiebere Johnson, Queen Charles, and Onyekachi T. Ezeagu from APC Enugu State Chapter.

“They have been flagrantly disobeying the order of the High Court restraining them from arranging, organizing, and holding any meetings as leadership of APC State Executive Committee (SEC) Enugu State Chapter.”

The statement claimed that Agballa and those expelled engaged in several activities that undermined the APC in the state.

“This decision reflects our firm stance on accountability and ethical governance. The integrity of our Party is non-negotiable. We will not allow individuals who undermine our mission and principles to remain within our ranks,” it added.
