US lawmaker proposes $250 bill with President Trump’s face

United States Congressman Joe Wilson has introduced legislation to create a $250 bill featuring the face of President Donald Trump.

Wilson, a Republican from the same party as President Trump, represents South Carolina’s 2nd district.

The congressman serves on the House Republican Policy Committee and is an assistant Republican whip.

He announced the proposal on Tuesday in a post on his X handle, describing it as “the most valuable bill for the most valuable President.”

“Grateful to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump.

“Bidenflation has destroyed the economy, forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for most valuable President!” Wilson wrote on X.

Wilson stated that his proposal was primarily introduced in response to former President Joe Biden’s administration, which he claimed had destroyed the economy, forcing American families to carry more cash.

Media Talk Africa reports that if Wilson’s proposal is approved, Trump would become the only living current or former U.S. president to be featured on American currency.
